biography

Gary Card graduated from Central St Martins in 2002 where he studied theatre design and has gone onto work as an illustrator, graphic designer, comic artist, costume, set and props designer.

Ranging from his cartoon and videogame inspired daylgo graphics for Cassette Playa, to the darker and more surreal-landscapes and characters in his work with Jacob Sutton, London based Card draws his inspiration from a range of sources including Ren & Stimpy, Swamp Thing and the work of artists Hans Bellmer, Paul McCarthy and Gottfried Helnwin, record covers and cereal boxes.

Gary's work has appeared in publications such as POP,Garage Another Man Dazed & Confused, V Man and iD.
His sets and installations have appeared in the windows on Dover Street Market both in London and Tokyo, Liberty and Uniqlo. His most recent being Top Shop and LN CC Store

Gary also designed the recent Patron Silver Reindeer Pop UP restaurant and is currently working on an ongoing project with Spanish luxury brand Loewe.
